School Rewards & Store: Quick Cards

Two one-page cards to print for training day. Practise every step first at the practice portal; nothing there reaches a real ledger.

Staff card: awarding points

  1. Open the staff link and sign in with your school Google account. Your name and role show at the top right.
  2. Award points tab. Search or filter, then tap the student's tile. Read the confirmation panel: right name, grade, homeroom, and ref.
  3. Choose the category and the points. The category's description appears under the menu.
  4. Write what the student did in one specific sentence. The student reads it on their overview.
  5. Record award. If you picked the wrong student, choose Undo in the notice within fifteen minutes.
  6. Several students, same reason? Tick Award the same recognition to several students, tap tiles or Select all shown after filtering, then record once. Up to sixty at a time.

Do not write disability, discipline, behaviour narratives, or protected-category labels in a reason. Reasons are student-facing.

Cashier card: the register

  1. Check the store is open. The Store tab shows the window and its end time. If it is Preview or Closed, checkout is not possible; do not work around it.
  2. Choose and verify the student. Read the confirmation aloud or through the school routine before adding anything.
  3. Build the cart. Watch the available balance and the stock shown on each prize.
  4. Refresh, review, and complete checkout. The portal refreshes the live balance and inventory and shows a final confirmation; check points before and after.
  5. Receipt. It is on screen and emailed. If email fails, print the screen receipt and tell an administrator; the purchase is complete.
  6. Refunds and stock changes are administrator actions. Send the student to them rather than improvising.

If a request times out or the result is unclear, do not submit it again. Keep the screen, note the time, student, and cart, and follow the runbook; the portal keeps a stable key so an exact retry is safe.
